My name is Alexis, and

I am a geophotographer

with a Ph.D. in

Earth Sciences

Being able to capture both the science and beauty of the Earth professionally is truly a dream come true. With years of experience and a wide depth of knowledge about our planet, I approach my work as a geophotorgapher from a unique perspective.

My name is Alexis Vizcaino; I am a photographer, geologist, and owner of Alexis Vizcaino Geophotography. In my free time I am a devoted father, son, partner, brother, and friend. I enjoy learning new languages, and attempting to speak them when given the chance.

As a geophotographer, my passion and understanding of nature stems from my commitment to education and desire to explore the world around me. I have dedicated my time and energy to expanding my knowledge so that the final products I deliver are insightful while still being captivating.

During my undergraduate years, I started to hone in on my photography skills. I would spend my days with my parents’ old camera, roaming Barcelona to capture the raw beauty of the city I loved. Despite missing a few classes in pursuit of the perfect shot, I graduated and went on to defend my Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Barcelona about Marine Geosciences. For three years, as a postdoc at Stanford University, I carried a paleoclimate study in Patagonia.

Today, I am thrilled to work alongside individuals and businesses in need of eye-catching images or mapping services. Being a geologist and photographer, I enjoy combining artistic expression with technical aspects.

If you’re looking for a true professional with a deep understanding of the subjects I capture, and a love for the beauty of our world, I would love the opportunity to work with you. Feel free to check out my service offerings, and reach out with any questions you may have. I look forward to creating something amazing together!
